The atelier
Nothing here is
bought finished
Every gown begins as a drawing and a length of undyed calico. We cut the toile, fit it on you, take it apart, and cut it again — usually four times, sometimes six, before a single piece of the real fabric is touched.
The embroidery is worked by hand in the studio. The hems are rolled by hand. The linings are finished as carefully as the outsides, because you are the one who has to wear it for fourteen hours.

In their words
“I went in with a photograph I had saved for three years and came out with something better than it. Six fittings and not once did anyone make me feel difficult.”
